Dermot Seberry of Food Educators has launched a new book, Ireland: A Culinary Journey in the North East.
Dermot’s beautiful book makes great inroads in emphasising our region on the food map, especially as it also features some of the members of the Group! Members featured are Aruna Sauces, Bia Blasta Sauces, Bellingham Blue Cheese, Ferdia Chocolates, and Glebe LannLeire Honey.
The book features recipes and cooking tips from local restaurants including Eastern Seaboard, D Vine, D Hotel, Scholars Town House, Tower Wine Bar and restaurant, Relish, Stockwell Artisan Foods, Belles Tea Rooms and the Boyne Angling Club.
The book is divided into three sections, covering Kilkeel and the Cooley peninsula, Dundalk and mid-Louth, and Drogheda to the Boyne Valley. The book also features food and portrait photography by Dermot himself, along with landscape photography by Vadim Lee of Drogheda Camera Club, and images from local photographers Sahy Larkin, Paul Carroll and Conor Woods.
A very novel approach by Dermot is the inclusion of VR codes. These codes, when scanned by your smartphone will link to videos of some of the restaurants and food producers featured.
Failte Ireland are also keen to feature the book on their website which is a fantastic acheivement.
Dermot’s fantastic book will be a lovely gift for any foodie this Christmas. The book can be purhcased directly from www.northeastculinaryjourney.ie
